Brief Biography

Mr. Pravakar Pradhan

Pravakar Pradhan is working as Research Associate at AIT-ADEME Project, Energy Field of Study, School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. He holds a Master’s degree in Urban Environmental Management awarded by AIT in 2003. Immediately after graduation, he worked as Research Associate at AIT Extension to assist the International Workshop on Sustainable Development, Mega-cities and Rural Community Development, 14-21 September, 2003. He worked as Environmental and Socio-economic Experttoprepared Environmental Assessment for Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF) Activities in Nepal which was funded by The World Bank.

Pravakar worked as Research Associate at Urban Environmental Field of Study, SERD, AIT (2004 April-2010 May) where he got an opportunity to pursue various types of research activities related to urban issues such as land use, water use, air pollution etc. He also got chance to attend and organize international conferences in the Southeast Asian region and presented research papers, and published in the proceedings. His areas of interest include urban land management, urban disaster management, GIS applications in urban planning and urban climate change and its impact.
